N5 Kitchen was founded by university friends Millie and Suzie, starting out with private dinners and canapé parties before growing into event catering, shoot lunches, a beloved café and now an expanding office catering business.
The name comes from the N5 postcode in Highbury, where the pair began cooking out of Millie's mum's kitchen. Suzie left a career in finance to build the business with her best friend and after years of joking about a opening a cafe with an enormous flower display on the counter, the two eventually have done it in Mountgrove Road in Highbury where their has originally journey begun.
The menu is never one person's vision, everyone on the team gets involved, bringing their own ideas to the table. It's a wonderfully collaborative process where one person suggests the starting point for a dish and someone else adds their own spin to it. The result is a genuinely different menu each day for a two-week stretch before the cycle starts again, so regulars never quite know what's for lunch.

Everything's made from scratch, and fried chicken and cookies have become signature items. We've worked with N5 since the very beginning of Studio Monde, and they've always reflected our values, with sustainability and community at the heart of everything they do. They are an absolute pleasure to work with, always accommodating and flexible with last minute requests and the food is not only delicious but also balanced and nutritious.
